EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Vision Statement: The vision of the Education Department is to provide resources to our church family and community so that they will be better equipped to meet the challenges of today’s society.
Mt. Bethel Church of God recognizes the importance of not just spiritual growth but also strives to guide members to achieve their educational goals. The formulation of the Education Department is to help the church and community to carry out its vision. The Department steers individuals to their educational and career goals and it also provides scholarship information to students matriculating to higher education. The Department also serves as a resource to individuals’ career path, assisting them with resume writing and job placement.

Here are some events that the Education Department sponsors annually:

· Black History Month –. It is celebrated throughout the month of February and focuses on African-American History. The month culminates with a dedicated service on the Sunday of February

· Teacher’s Week – Recognizes the Sunday School teachers and teachers at the schools that our members attend who have made an impact on their educational wellbeing.

· Graduation Sunday – This is a chance to recognize and congratulate members of the congregation who are graduating from pre-school to college, or even a certification program. Often, the church will give book scholarships to high-school students. This service is a chance to honor them for their hard work and perseverance in graduating.
